Ecstasy

driving

Ecstasy can make you feel more confident when you drive, leading to risky driving and accidents. Random roadside drug testing has been occurring in NSW since January 2007 and police can give any driver an oral roadside drug test. If you test positive you will be prohibited from driving for 24 hours while the tests are sent off to a lab. If this sample tests positive as well, you will be charged to appear in court. Even where random roadside testing is not occurring, if a police officer suspects you have used drugs you could be arrested and taken to hospital for a blood and urine test. If NSW police deem your driving would have been impaired by your drug use, you will be charged accordingly.
